Privacy Policy

We collect name, phone, gender, DOB, district, education, occupation and family details solely for matchmaking.

Phone numbers are shown to opposite-gender matches after login to facilitate direct contact. Do not share others' numbers externally without consent.

To limit how widely your number travels, these rules apply:

  • Registration: men pay a one-time ₹299 Basic registration fee online; women register free. Members who register free are verified by our team before they can unlock contact numbers.
  • Weekly contact limit: using the Show Number button, each active member can unlock up to 25 new contact numbers per week (Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59, Indian Standard Time). A number you have already unlocked can be opened again without counting again, for as long as that profile stays active.
  • Protection for each profile: through Show Number, a profile's number can be newly unlocked by at most 8 members within any 24 hours; after that, new requests are paused until the count falls. Members who unlocked it earlier are not affected.
  • Paid introductions: a contact bought through an upgrade plan is separate — it does not use up your weekly allowance, and it is not limited by the two rules above.
  • Hidden profiles: if you deactivate (hide) your profile, your number cannot be newly unlocked by anyone, including through paid introductions.
  • Metro Matrimony may change these limits. The limits on this page are the ones in force right now (the weekly limit was last changed on 18 September 2026).

Online payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see your card number, bank password or UPI PIN. For every payment we keep the payment reference and the amount. For payments made through our payment links, we also keep the phone number, email and payment method you entered at Razorpay, so we can match the payment to the right profile. When confirming or reconciling a payment, our admin team can view the details Razorpay provides for it, such as the UPI ID, card network and last four digits, bank, and transaction reference.

Data is stored securely on PostgreSQL with hashed passwords. We do not sell data to third parties.

Misuse & Suspension: Any misuse — spam, harassment, fake data — will lead to suspension without warning and data may be retained for legal purposes. No refund applies.
